New England Weavers' Seminar: Things to Do in Town
Northampton is a great shopping town, full of interesting boutiques, artisan craft shops, used book stores and cafes. A walk from Smith College campus down Main St. to Pleasant St. is about 0.75 mile. Here are some highlights:

A living museum of plants native to New England and ecosystems around the globe, the garden encompasses a variety of specialty gardens. The landscape architecture firm of Frederick Law Olmsted of Central Park fame designed it.
